Veskoukis Aristidis
Associate ProfessorAristidis Veskoukis has obtained his B.Sc. and Ph.D. from the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, University of Thessaly, Larissa, Greece. He had post doc training at the same Department as well as at the Department of Physical Education and Sport Sciences at Serres, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. He has published > 75 papers in international peer-reviewed journals and 5 book chapters and his work has been cited more than 3390 times (h-index: 32). His research interests focus on: a) the study of the effects of dietary antioxidant administration on blood redox status and the trajectory towards detoxification in patients with opioid use disorders, b) the documentation of the problem of health inequalities, c) the study of blood redox status of patients with autoimmune rheumatic diseases, d) the examination of the effects of exercise and nutrition on blood and tissue redox potential in experimental animals and humans and e) the investigation of the effects of xenobiotics on redox balance of blood and tissues.
