Opening Hours

Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 15:00

The Department Library collection includes books, conference proceedings, dissertations, undergraduate theses, reference materials (e.g. dictionaries, encyclopedias), audiovisual materials (e.g. CD-ROMs, DVDs, videocassettes), and journals.

Library services are available to all members of the University community as well as to the public. For University members, registration requires presentation of a valid academic ID card. Members of the public may also register and obtain a “Library Membership Card” by presenting a valid ID and one photograph.

Library users are entitled to:

  • Borrow library materials (books, dissertations, CD-ROMs, videos, etc.)
  • Renew borrowed items (by phone, in person, or online)
  • Use the reading room and reference resources (encyclopedias, dictionaries, etc.)
  • Access print and journals
  • Request articles and books from other libraries for a fee (see Interlibrary Loan)

Borrowing limits and loan periods vary by user category (see table below) A fine of €0.30 per day applies to overdue items.

User Category – Borrowing Limits – Loan Period (days)

  • Undergraduate Students: up to 10 items – 21 days
  • Postgraduate Students: up to 10 items – 28 days
  • PhD Candidates: up to 15 items – 28 days
  • External Users: up to 5 items – 14 days
