Dr. Efthimia Stamou obtained her BSc from the Department of Biological Sciences and Engineering, University of Essex, UK (1999). She continued her postgraduate studies specializing in Cell- Molecular Biology and Immunology and she completed her doctoral thesis at the University of Essex, UK (2004). She continued her postdoctoral research at John Innes Research Centre, Norwich, UK and has worked in the UK in the development of new cell transfection techniques. She also has a Master’s degree in English Literature specializing in students with learning difficulties as well as students with neurodevelopmental diseases (University of Cambridge, UK). She has worked for many years both in the field of Research and in the field of Education and is currently working as an Academic Scholar (Lecturer) in the Faculty of Nutrition and Dietetics, University of Thessaly, Trikala. Fields of interest are new Molecular Biology techniques as well as Special Education.
