Dr Ioannis D. Morres is an assistant professor of mental health, physical activity and quality of life-eating behavior, School Physical Education, Sport & Dietetics, University of Thessaly, Dept Nutrition & Dietetics. He obtained MSc from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven-Belgium and PhD from the University of Thessaly. He teaches behavior change, research methodology, mental health, physical activity, and eating behavior modeling. He teaches clinical exercise psychology: prescription for mental health disorders in the European Masters of Sport & Exercise Psychology (University of Thessaly) and meta-analytic techniques and exercise-mental health in Doctoral/Master Programs at the Universities of Leipzig (Germany) and Thessaly (School of Medicine). Dr Morres has secured external funding of €1.100.000,00, published 25 peer-reviewed papers, received distictions from international journals, serves as a reviewer for the Dutch Research Council, and holds a signal of scientific evidence by the National Institute of Health Research for Patient Benefit in the United Kingdom. His clinical experience includes delivery, councelling and consultancy of exercise sessions for mental health patients in the National Health Systems in the USA, UK, Belgium and Denmark. His personal development includes 400 hours of individualized psychoanalytic psychotherapy.
