Petros Dinas is a researcher in human physiology in the laboratory of environmental physiology (FAME Lab) and teaching staff at the Department of Dietetics and Nutrition of the University of Thessaly, based in Trikala, Greece. His main area of research is human brown fat, which he has researched using genetic markers as well as positron emission tomography and computed tomography. He has previously worked as a researcher in human physiology at the University of Wolverhampton, UK, where he began his contact with the systematic review and meta-analysis. Since then, he has been involved in several systematic reviews and is an active contributor to this topic at the Chatham University, Pittsburgh, USA. Petros is currently funded by the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control and the World Health Organization to conduct systematic reviews and meta-analyses.
