Dr. Efthymia Tsaroucha is a linguist. She holds a PhD in Cognitive Linguistics (Department of English Language & Literature, Aristotle University).

She has completed her postdoctoral research on communication, advertising and social media marketing (University of Western Macedonia). She holds a Master of Arts in Theoretical & Applied Linguistics and a BA in English Language & Literature (Department of English Language & Literature, Aristotle University).

She has collaborated with Greek and European Universities in research projects (indicatively: Aristotle University, University Koblenz-Landau, University of La Rioja).

Since 2018, she has taught English for Special/Academic Purposes at an undergraduate level, in various Departments of the University of Thessaly (indicatively: Department of Accounting & Finance, Department of Medicine, Department of Medicine etc.). Since 2020, she has taught English Terminology, Advertising and Educational Technology in various Departments of the University of Western Macedonia at an undergraduate and postgraduate level. She has also worked as a translator.

Her research interests focus on: Cognitive Linguistics, Applied Linguistics, Semantics, Cognitive Grammar, Conceptual Blending Theory, Communication-Advertising Interface.
