Theodoros Koukouratos was born and raised in Karditsa. He is a graduate of the Medical School of the "Trakia" University, Stara Zagora - Bulgaria. He trained and completed the specialty of Gastroenterology at the General Hospital "Evangelismos" in Athens. He holds a PhD degree from Athens Medical School on "Prognostic factors for non-response and loss of response in patients with inflammatory bowel disease receiving anti-TNF therapy." Since 2015 he has been working as a consultant "Gastroenterologist - Hepatologist" with previous service at the General Hospital of Karditsa, General Hospital of Trikala and University General Hospital of Larissa. At the present, he is a consultant at the General Hospital of Larissa "KOUTLIBANEIO & TRIANTAFYLLIO". He has many publications in Greek and international journals and participation in many Greek and international conferences. He is a University Scholar of the University of Thessaly as well as a lecturer of Postgraduate courses of the University of Thessaly.
