Georgios Koukoulis is a general surgeon specialized in minimally invasive and colorectal surgery. Holds a Master’s degree on HPB surgery from Democritus University of Thrace and PHD from the University of Thessaly. Since 2017 serves as a senior consultant of surgery on the General Hospital of Larissa. In addition, since 2014 teaches in undergraduate and postgraduate programs of the university of Thessaly, surgery and basic medical sciences courses such as anatomy and physiology. He participates in several multicentric international studies, while in the past few years his research focus on abdominal wall hernias and on nutritional evaluation and support of surgical patients. He has published more then 40 papers on international medical journals and more than 100 abstracts in national and international congresses.
